IT’S ALL COMING BACK TO YOU
It’s all coming back to you because that’s the nature of God! Like Abraham, many of you have pioneered on! Through hardship, famine, loss of family, war! Yet the Lord has kept His word, led and fed, giving you creative abilities, reminding you of His promises for you through His word!
Where you’ve come through impossible odds, through tough terrain, carried on amid loss of family and choices other’s made, you’re going to see it’s all coming back to your now! You’re on track, target and time! The vision in stone, the plan in God’s hand!
We live in exiting times!
Sons are coming home!
Double for trouble and the promises of God in our lives amid rubble!
You’re going to see a continuance of faith in action, love that leads and the provision of God as you see!
You’ve been chosen, handpicked, set apart and it’s just the start!
Abraham was 75 when he responded to the call from God to pack his bags, take his family and livestock with the promise of becoming a great nation, descendants as vast as the night stars! He was anxious about his age as he journeyed on, but the Lord was faithful to lead him on! Faith kept him strong!
Along the journey through the trade routes, we know there was a severe famine and Sarai married to Abram, ended up in the hands of the Egyptians.
The Lord intervened and Pharaoh released Sarai to return to Abraham. Then Lot decides he’s not going any further and settles by choice in the pastures of the Jordan, only to loose his wife and be rescued again by Abraham! What a saga!!
God re-affirms his promise to Abraham once again saying, “ I will make your descendants as vast as the dust of the earth.” Abraham by faith in God’s faithfulness carries on! Builds a strong military force that rescues Lot in Sodam!
Abraham’s life reminds us of the unshakable covenant that Father and Son have cut for us so we can come! The capacity in God to fulfil what he’s made us for and to overcome! Through impossible odds, poor choices, war! There’s More! You’re going to see the promise of God time and time again as you continue on! Keep the faith, listen and learn and see God in time and pace! It’s all coming back to you now!
The invitation right now is a gentle reminder for us to leave our own will behind in order to enter into God’s plan. We need to leave it all behind including our ideas of how God will work. (See translator footnotes below.)
Genesis 12:1-3 The Passion Translation
Now YAHWEH said to Abram, “Leave it all behind— your native land, your people, your father’s household, and go to the land that I will show you. Follow me, and I will make you into a great nation. I will exceedingly bless and prosper you, and I will make you famous, so that you will be a tremendous source of blessing for others. I will bless all who bless you and curse all who curse you. And through you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Footnotes from Translator- The Hebrew word Peretz is etymologically linked to the Cananite word ration, which means ‘firmness of will’ or ’stubbornness.’ God is saying to Abram with double meaning, leave your country but also leave your own will behind in order to enter God’s pan. We need to leave it all behind, including our ideas of how God will work.
V2. God was calling Abram out from more than just his relatives. He was calling Abram out from specific deity worship connected to nations, clans and ancestors.
V3. Leaving all that is familiar would display an incredible act of faith on Abram’s part (Heb. 11:8-10) He is told to go into an unknown land, but it would result in the seven-fold blessing of verses 2-3. 12:2- This would take a miracle, for Sarai was barren. This would have greatly stretched his faith, yet he believed. Because he had left his nation, God would make Abram into a great nation. God gave creative ability to Abram, not only to produce offspring, but applied creative ability to form lasting enterprises that would shape a nation. God gave the ability to create community to Abram and his seed.
