Should I really be pursuing God and living a life of faith in the area of my time, talent and treasure, or is it all just a figment of my imagination? Do we really reap a harvest this side of eternity when we sow into God’s Kingdom? Isn’t it just wishful thinking to expect to walk with God in the spirit amidst the struggles and challenges of daily life?

Why don’t you baton down the hatches? Getting what you can, canning it and sit on the can! After all you’re only young once and this is the time to put your money away for retirement, not to mention your children’s inheritance! Life’s full of problems worries and struggles.

Each day I choose which voice I listen to as I face these fears. Do I listen to the voice of human reason, based in logic and worldly thinking or do I align my mind with Kingdom values and do what the Spirit of God is speaking through my Spirit?
As a Christian, the message of Jesus is what I live and breathe. There is nothing more thrilling than spending time with God, hearing his voice, seeing his face and connecting my heart with his. When I look into his eyes I know, all things are possible!

The fear of failure and the fear of not enough are both real and plausible fears. But in order to step into the supernatural we need to step out of the boat! It’s a no- brainer really, but quite often we rationalize our fears with human logic and reasoning. Instead of taking risks we sit in the boat, missing out on the adventure that’s out in the water.

Change, growth and breakthrough are discovered when we take that leap of faith.

Deuteronomy 31:6 says, Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
As we say yes! And take those steps amidst our fear of failure, lack of and insecurity-He reaches out his hands towards ours and says, “Come, together we can do great things.”

I want to encourage you in 2013, to step out of your boat. To really go for it and go big with what God has put into your heart. Inside of you maybe the next top selling novel or latest invention! Whatever it is, it could be the best thing since sliced bread! God’s made us all in His image, so there’s no end to the creative possibilities that lay within. Not one person has the exact same makeup as you! What you bring to the table of life is worthwhile, precious and unique- because you are!

At the end of the day, you will say, I have no regrets because I choose to step out despite my fears. You will be able to look back, satisfied, enlarged, fruitful and inspired to go further .
